Since we never had a birthday cake for Kalle on her birthday (Jada was sick and I forgot) we finally celebrated a week late with my parents! My mom and dad are so wonderful and they just love my girls to pieces (it helps that my girls are the ONLY grand kids, so far ;) Anyways, my parents decided that they couldn't wait until Christmas to see my girls again so they flew down here from Ohio for Halloween weekend! Since they've both been to Florida before, I don't feel pressured to take them touring around crazily and we were able to have a relaxing weekend and really enjoy spending quality time together. My parents played and played with my girls and Jada and Kalle couldn't have loved it more! They read dozens of books, made puzzles, built blocks, built a fort out of tunnels and boxes, and we celebrated Kalle's birthday and Halloween! Whew!
My mom let Kalle and Jada help her bake, frost and sprinkle Kalle's birthday cake - which was almost more fun than actually eating it :-)Kalle is so silly. Sometimes I think its hilarious when she squeezes her eyes shut or hides from the camera like this... Look at those cheesy smiles from Kalle! She usually avoids the camera all together but these huge grins are for real. She was soooo happy!! Birthdays are literally like the 'best thing ever' to Kalle.Isn't it fun celebrating birthdays all week long??Happy Birthday Kalle! (Again ;-))
