Our little Kalle turned two last week! Yay! We couldn't have had a better day. Chris, Jada and I woke Kalle up with singing and she had the HUGEST smile on her face - like she just knew that finally she was going to be the princess in charge for the day! It was so adorable. We opened a few presents, ate breakfast, Chris even took most of the day off of work so we could play! The funny thing was that Kalle really didn't care about any of the gifts, she really just wanted to wear her birthday dress and hat carry around her balloon! What a sweetheart!
We took the girls to the park in the morning and then took them to a small kid-friendly water park in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera both times. Way to go mom :( But this is a picture of the water park we went to. Honestly it was so fun because it was raining when we drove up so they literally opened the park just for us (completely annoyed at us) but we didn't care! Since we were the only crazy ones there, we thought we would just play in the rain anyways. What we didn't expect was that the clouds parted a the sun began to shine just on our little water park!! We had about 40 minutes of family fun (plenty of time) before the rain began again! What a birthday present from above :)
We finished the day with Kalle's favorite pepperoni pizza and treats :-) It was just fun trying to think only about what Kalle would choose to do without my own hidden agenda thrown in there. My new FAVORITE photo...
I couldn't believe it was such a wonderful day...I guess I should try more often to just relax and let go and enjoy my kiddos :-) Happy 2nd Birthday Kalle Roy!
