Dune Buggy Rides

Yes, this was over a month ago, but this was probably one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life. Christopher rented one of these dune buggies last summer at Silver Lake in Michigan and didn't stop talking about it all year. So I had to try it out with him...even though I was terrified!!Here we are getting ready with our dune goggles on to prevent sand and wind burn on our eyeballs.
Here's our "before" photos...Stephanie got her buggy stuck in the sand...which was extremely easy to do since the dunes were all sand and the buggies only had one pedal - the gas pedal (aka no brakes!)There were huge dunes, small dunes, wooded areas and standing water that we could ride our buggy over and through and around. Steph and Paul soaked each other in the puddles right away.Sometimes we would drive full speed around a corner and run into this...We spent almost the entire hour and a half trying to get "air" in our buggy until Chris finally found this jump...see our tracks that just disappear at the top?Here we are returning victorious!What an awesome day :)
