-She is named after her great-grandfather LeRoy Wernli who (sadly) she never met. Kalle just missed meeting him as we arrived at his home in Seattle, WA less than 24 hours after he passed away.
-Jada and I have always called her "Kalle Bug" and her Grammy recently nicknamed her "Kalle the Water Bug" which is oh so appropriate since she can swim. That's right, she taught herself to swim at 18 months. Just a result of her crazy personality which has earned her the nickname "Tasmania Devil" by her loving Grandpa. Fitting.

-She has been a little slow to talk but we are of course unfairly comparing her to her older sister who had a vocabulary of a three year old when she was 18 months.
-Kalle LOVES Elmo.
-She almost exclusively eats protein and dairy.

-She love dogs & cats or anything alive really.
-Kalle has naturally darker skin - like she always has a tan.
-Kalle's hair is fine and straight, it started out dark and lighten up a little but it will end up brown I think.
-Kalle is strong.

-Kalle was sick a lot within her first 12 months. She had bronchitis and horrible colds for almost 6 months straight! Somehow though her lungs are stronger because of it and she can SCREAM!!
-Unlike Jada, Kalle really has little desire to be helpful to me - Jada will do almost anything I ask and Kalle just says "No!"

-She has always hated being restrained in anything like a stroller, car seat, carrier, bumbo, even her crib!
-She already goes up and down the stairs and the slide alone. No fear.
-She loves to build big towers, knock them down and scream with delight.
-Kalle loves make-up.
-Kalle loves the drums, she always has enjoyed banging toys or her hands. But she especially loves to play her daddy's cool drumset.
-She is finally beginning to enjoy reading books, she used to have zero attention span for reading or anything that involved sitting.-Kalle loved nursing and it was pretty much the only was to get her to fall asleep as a baby, unlike Jada who never liked nursing.
-She loves her paci.
-And her purple kitty/blanket thing.
-And she loves to go to sleep!!!! YEAH!
-She loves her momma. (She snuggles with me too :-)
Kalle is such a different kid than her older sister. She is FULL of personality and definitely knows what she wants and usually finds a way to get it too, even if that means climbing up the chairs and bar stools to get on top of the table to the box of markers and scissors. She keeps me on my toes all the time but her adventures always make for the funniest stories. Its a good thing that Kalle started out melting my heart by being the sweetest baby who cuddled with me all the time and rarely fussed because now she is such a handful that if I didn't love her so incredibly much I might consider putting her up for sale!

Looks like you're getting a lot more smiles out of her too. I think she is looking more and more like her sister as she gets older. And I think it is every 18 month old's sole purpose in life to drive their mothers crazy all day long. James does the same to me now. Hopefully we can outlast them and make it through.
