Thanks to the Kitty...

I just wanted to announce that the long wait is finally over! Yes, its true, Kalle said Dad Dad yesterday for the first time! She is almost 11 months old! She started saying Ma Ma very early - 5 1/2 months - and has been saying Bah Bah and NaNa for weeks and weeks. She can walk all over the place and climb up the stairs alone no problem and feed herself and do lots of other fun tricks. But she has been killing Chris by refusing to say Dad Dad!! Yesterday Chris brought home a kitty from work; a beautiful, green-eyed, dark-gray 5-week old. Apparently, Kalle was so appreciative of the gift that she started squealing, clapping her hands and saying Dad Dad! Unfortunately the kitty was not a gift for us. So we enjoyed the few short hours that we had that adorable kitty before we delivered her to our waiting friends. Jada cried. Chris could barely breathe by the time the kitty left (stinking asthma) but he was happy - his stubborn daughter finally said his name!
